Best Advice we received was to go to the evening show at Mount Rushmore it is Goose Bump Patriotic. Get there early enough to walk around during the day, then stay for the night show. 3 great drives we enjoyed in Custer State Park area were Needles Highway , Iron Mountain Road , and the Wild Life Loop.
