Tip for Other Campers:
Spend a day up in De Smet and learn all about Laura Ingalls Wilder's time there. The historical society was amazing and the information they had was even more amazing. Well worth the visit.

Tips from campers about Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground
- Don Bowen No fast food chains in the town. It is truly a one horse but quaint town. Two restaurants (open at 5 pm) available are End Zone Bar & Grill, which we ate at. It feels like a bowling alley diner but the food was great. The owner, who was great) even gave us a sample plate of his specialty Chislic dish, deep-fried cubes of mutton, lamb, beef or venison prepared rare to medium-rare, sprinkled with garlic salt or other seasoned salt, and served with toothpicks. A different kind of taste but Good! The other restaurant was the Brewery Bar and Grill, which we did not try.

“Nice park. Close to the highway noise. Windows & doors closed in mid October, we were not bothered”

All we used is an electric hookup for our 1 nite stay. Bathrooms were clean and warm. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Tip for Other Campers:
We had a wheel bearing go bad between the campsite and Mitchell SD that we had repaired at Jacks campers in Mitchell. This place had super fast and reasonable service. Back on our way within a couple of hours.
