“Our maiden voyage!”
Nightly Rate: $24 USD
We picked this one cause it was close to home. Good way to test it all out with our new TT. Grounds and bathhouse are very clean. Lots of good hikes to waterfalls near by. We were in site 11 on loop...

Make sure your directions dont put you on a gravel road. Theres a back way in on forest service roads. Definitely dont want to pull or drive anything up that way.
“Very quiet, nice morning hikes”
Nightly Rate: $24 USD
The long mountain road to get there is worth the drive, all the campsites were in a decent bit of shade. Our campsite was quiet, but only because we got lucky to not be next to all the campsites with...

Tip for Other Campers:
There seemed to be a lot of people using the lake, we hiked to Benton Falls and it was beautiful. We were the only ones there around 8 AM.

- James_64ee192d4dde6 Explore the wilderness. Rent a side by side. Go on hikes. Get outside and do things!7 months ago White Knob Motel & RV Park
- Euge If you go, you should rent an ATV for the day or two to explore the many trails in the area. Don't expect a lot of good places to eat. Call ahead to see if what they have on the menu is available. Also, call ahead to even see if they are open. We wanted to check out this coffee shop but found out it was closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Huh? Cafe's close on those days?1 year ago White Knob Motel & RV Park
- Mark Virginia We rented a UTV and rode two great trails; the Mackay Mining trail which takes you to various old mining sites, and the Lost River trail which take your through the "Enchanted Forrest." Cost for the UTV was about $375 for all day, but it was well worth it. You go up into the mountains with some amazing views. Just need to be careful and stay on the trail. Also visited one of the few intact Gold Dredges in the lower 48. Volunteers tell you all about the dredge. There's also a ghost town about a mile from the Dredge. You are also close to Stanley. Drive was beautiful as the highway follows the Salmon river from Challis to Stanley. We also visited the Experimental Breeder Reactor (Decommissioned but first Nuclear Breeder Reactor in US). Very interesting and its free. Also went to Craters of the Moon and explored volcanic ruins including Lava tunnels/caves. Wear hiking shoes, bring water and flashlight. It was hot the day we did it.2 years ago White Knob Motel & RV Park

“Hilltop Campground with a lot to offer”
Nightly Rate: $22 USD
Great proximity to a lot to do. Staff was friendly. The drive up would be hard to do in a large rig, but the road is good although it has some tight turns for two way traffic. We camped at Chilhowee...

We were the only ones staying in loop A during the week. A few people showed up for the weekend. Our spot was decent but it had overgrown weeds and tons of bugs. The bathroom looked ok. Only 1 shower...
