Tips from campers about Cookeville, TN
- JohnLoc843 This campground is about 13mi from town, so you may want to stop at the grocery store before checking in while you're in Cookeville. There's a very nice set of 3 falls at Burgess Falls state park about 20mi away. We actually enjoy that hike better than Cummins falls, so make sure to check it out. There's a nice campground next door to Burgess Falls too. There are two small restaurants next to the Burgess falls state park, good food. The people of Cookeville are very nice, and there are hundreds of college students in the area due to the Tennessee Technical University in town. You'll see them in town at their part time jobs in restaurants in the evening.2 weeks ago Old Mill Camp at Cummins Falls
- Truck3rCl0ck Cummins Falls is across the street from the campground and there is also a nature trail in the campground.2 months ago Old Mill Camp at Cummins Falls
- settinfree It's a short walk across the street to Cummins Falls State Park where you can hike down to the falls or hike any of the several other trails around the park. The main shopping district in Cookeville is about 20 min away where you can find just about anything you'd need. So many parks and lakes around and just about any direction you drive will take you on a beautiful country drive. We'll be here for a few more months, but we'll really miss this park when we leave.5 months ago Old Mill Camp at Cummins Falls
