We didnt unhook our car so we didnt visit any of the surrounding area but the4re are plenty of restaurants and businesses in the area.

The Houston freeways are a zoo from my stand point. I understand the frontage road and on/off exits. :)

- Mrs. Groover We had 3 dogs with us and they enjoyed walks and meeting other campers. We went into Guthrie Center, the closest small town to eat at. The Prime Time is a diner by day and more steakhouse by night. We all got the lunch special which was a pork loin dinner complete with meat, gravy, real mashed potatoes, salad, roll ,and drink. The waitress was so friendly, fun, and helpful! The other place to eat is Cafe on the Hill which is on the east end of town. It has probably 10 tables which fill fast for lunch, as their specialty everyday is a hot beef sandwich over mashed potatoes and gravy plus a roll. Guthrie Center is a quaint town with many old homes, and a 4 block long main street. I have to mention the Hometown grocery store with good prices, and awesome meat selections.4 months ago Springbrook State Park

Very Clean, grass areas well maintained. Right off I-10, so some road noise - just turn on a fan or AC, and white noise it away. We camped at Houston East RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

“Easy access, great staff ”

We stayed for a week to sightsee the Houston area. Easy access off I 10, but also noise from highway. Ask for a site further back we were in the B row and could hear the noise, but didnt bother us....

Space Center Houston was about 35 minutes away. H-E-B is a great grocery store.

There are plenty of local restaurants and fast food near-by. We used the nice propane grill they provided by the pool since we were so close.
