Tip for Other Campers:
The nearby town of Gruene is charming, lots of breweries within the Hill Country, take a nice kayak or float down the Guadalupe River (recommend from the State Park to Nichols Landing), Cafe Guadalajara was close by on the lake with outdoor seating and had decent food and a really good margarita. Nearby grocery store as well.
