Tips from campers about Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Hill Country
- DrM Traveler In Medina: Pizza & Prayer in Medina offer a variety of lunches throughout the week. There also is a restaurant behind the Medina River Cottages. Lowes is a small grocery store in Medina. In Kerrville: dont miss The Coming King. It consists of a huge cross with a number of beautiful statues, including Jesus as a warrior as described in Revelation. Pint & Plow Brewing has fabulous pretzels and other good food and brews. Gibsons store has a mixture of many interesting things. HEB is a fabulous grocery store - Kerrville is closest. James Avery has beautiful jewelry and a small museum. Schreiner Mansion has tours on Thursdays. Stonehenge II is interesting. San Antonio is about an hour away. There are a a couple restaurants in Bandera.10 months ago Hill Country RV Resort and Event Center
- diazrotts Take heed to their notes about travel from Kerrville...DO NOT drive Hwy 16 from Kerrville with anything larger than 15ft. There is a section of the road that could be used by the Bobsled team. It's a blast in small vehicle or motorcycle .

Tip for Other Campers:
We had walkie-talkies to keep track of the kids when we had to separate, one kid wanted to sift sand to look for fossils while the other kids wanted to stay in the pool. When we checked in, we were given a list of activities for the kids to do and it was very helpful. On Saturday, the park was very crowded but thats expected for a weekend in the summer....
