Tip for Other Campers:
Theres a mercantile not far for campground to get a few supplies. The campground is the closest to the state park. Merus adventure park and campground is an hour away, they have amazing jeep tours down in the canyon. Highly recommend for any 4wd....
“Not well kept!”

Not a very well kept CG. 30a plug was cracked, grass not cut, pot holes. We camped at Canyon Rim RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
We visited the nearby Sad Monkey Merchantile a couple of times. They had live music, craft beers/ciders and sold camping supplies, souvenirs, food items-great atmosphere. Hiked everyday in Palo Duro Canyon which was breathtaking and gorgeous, especially the Lighthouse trail....

Tip for Other Campers:
Stay in state park down in canyon if at all possible. Closest town is 8 miles away but there is a Super Walmart....
