Lots of options for going to the beach on Padre Island. In most areas you can drive your car on the beach for miles. We liked the beach area by Port Aransas best as it is part of a city park and cleaner than other areas. Very crowded on the weekend, but not too bad during the week.Doc's had good seafood. The drive to Padre Island is easy and there is a meat market called Champs Meat Market which has amazing stuff! Beef, chicken, seafood, premade poppers, kabobs and great cheesecake! Definitely worth checking out!
Tips from campers about Firefly Resort- Corpus Christi
- TIMOTHY_MOORE_521 We have a 36 foot Bighorn 5th wheel. I would recommend when you are arriving at the KOA turn off of SPID at the frontage road exit. One exit prior to Waldron. This allows you to get over to the right lane and turn onto Waldron. Because of the size of our RV I dont recommend continuing to Laguna Shores and turning right. This turn is very sharp and is not marked well. Go down past the HEB supermarket and turn left take it to Laguna Shores and turn right. Or continue down to Caribbean Street and turn left. Just remember if you go to Caribbean on Walden you will be going through a school zone.1 year ago Firefly Resort- Corpus Christi

Close to HEB Plus, and a few other places to grab a bite. If you like catfish and seafood, Charlies Catfish Restaurant is well worth the time to enjoy the cooking. Reasonable prices and great combos.
