  S_J_A If you are in need of supplies/shopping, Ontario is 24.8 miles away (about 26 mins via I84). Farewell Bend State Park is just 7.3 miles (9 mins away).

  KathyMcP We accidentally discovered on the last day, that in the nearest town, Weiser, Idaho they hold an Oldtime Fiddlers National Championship. It is held the 3rd week of June, and they had their 69th Annual Contest while we were there. We caught the parade, festival, and final two rounds of contestants. Exceptional Fiddlers from all over the US! Highly recommend the Weiser Classic Candy store on the corner of Main Street and State Street. My husband is a chocolate connoisseur and he said they had the best chocolate covered cherries and mint chocolates he had ever tasted. They also have hand dipped ice cream, and a Cafe with fusion style sandwiches-- all made in Weiser. Also, Weiser had the closest groceries, a hardware store, and cheaper diesel fuel than in Oregon, by $.80 a gallon.
