  DanAndAmy If staying more than a week, check their monthly rates. You may save money or choose to stay longer. Galveston is a long and boring drive from the resort. There are no bathrooms or showers at the resort. My mother stayed in the hotel while we were there and the room was nice.

  Dollins Go to the jetty park and watch the big ships enter and leave the channel. Watch for dolphins. Check out Captain Mark's fresh fish market. We got fresh shrimp and cooked our lunch since due to Covid we didn't want to eat in a restaurant. Get your ice at Twice the Ice close to the bridge to Freeport. It is a bargain at 20 pounds for $2.50.
