Location is pretty good. Can be a little hard to see in the day (lit sign at night or very helpful). U-turns in our 40 a-class were actually very doable on the wide divided road to entrance

Tip for Other Campers:
This is a huge, choose your sights on arrival campground. So we always park the bus and go sight hunting in the car. This was a good play here since there are a lot of tight areas with low limbs. Limited sights with good sky view for satellite systems. Park WiFi is a pay for service.

Tip for Other Campers:
If staying more than a week, check their monthly rates. You may save money or choose to stay longer. Galveston is a long and boring drive from the resort. There are no bathrooms or showers at the resort. My mother stayed in the hotel while we were there and the room was nice.

Getting there was weird. There are two roads leading toward the campground. The one with a sign for the state park is narrow with low branches. I saw no signs for the campground, just the state park which is three or four different areas. Once you find the check in building, which has limited parking, you're in good shape.
