It wasn't their fault, but a significant storm came through and took out electric to the entire peninsula. That can happen when you're on the edge of civilization like this. There was someone from the campground who came around to check on everyone. Nice touch. It's a great place if you're self-contained and want close proximity to the beach....

- Tommy-D Nearest town is about 12 miles away if you forget anything. Bridge over lake is under construction still, so be prepared for a slight delay. Very small and primitive, there is no office and I only spoke to the owner/operator on the phone. There are no amenities and it is as close to boondocking as you can get with power, sewer and water....
