Great Campground easy on and off Hwy. We camped at Martin Dies JR. State Park in a Motorhome.

“Tall Trees and very nice park”

It was chilly and overcast for much of our stay but overall it was nice. Roads are skinny and sight was tight and hard to navigate into. But once on our site was spacious, tree lined on three sides....

Tip for Other Campers:
Nearest town is about 12 miles away if you forget anything. Bridge over lake is under construction still, so be prepared for a slight delay. Park is split into a north section and south section by highway 190. There are hiking and kayak trails on both so be sure to visit both sides if thats your interest....

Bridge across the lake is under construction. Expect delays in early 2025. Park is spread out on both sides of Hwy 190. We were in the south part, but there are intersting hikes in the north part, as well....
