Tips from campers about Kingsland, TX

  • tison If you decide to stay here tips from me: 1. bring more bug spray than you need, because you will need it 2. only face the water, then you don't see the rundown trailer/RV park 3. don't plan on fishing from the "covered fishing dock"
  • DeanF Lake LBJ, Inks Lake State park, caverns all close by. Visit during wildflower blooms.
  • GiselleOrchid Visit the Grand Central Cafe from the 1973 film “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. They have a cute little bar, good food, and a nice upstairs lounge. And right next door, your inlaws can stay in a caboose instead of with you. If the weather is nice, the Boat Town Burger Bar has a great tiered deck by the water and has a garage doors for open-air dining (and football watching) inside.
