Tips from campers about Lavonia
- Catherine Wertz Long paved bike/walking path through the recreation area. Took the Historic rail trail, which was gravel, to Hoover dam. This was a cool ride, going through 5 tunnels and overlooking Lake Mead. You have to park your bike above the dam and walk about .5 Mile down. Great place to camp, roads need work though. It is extremmely hot but very beautiful. We will come back in the winter months for sure! We camped at Lavonia in a Truck Camper.

Tip for Other Campers:
Costco is nearby (about 15-20 minutes away) along with many other stores and restaurants located right off I-30.There is a lot of road construction on S Goliad on the way to the park. Area drivers are familiar with the detours and drive pretty fast. Take your time. You can have an adult beverage when you arrive safe and sound....
