Tip for Other Campers:
We toured the Spindle Top oil museum at Lamar University which we enjoyed all the old buildings and history recreated from the first oil boom days. Also drive up the highway and see the Big Thicket Preserve. There are beautiful hiking trails though unspoiled forests and creek bottoms.

Tip for Other Campers:
We were on site #5. We would not use that site again. The asphalt is narrow and it is hard to position the RV so the step is not a huge step all the way to the ground. Awkward!
