Tip for Other Campers:
We were on site #5. We would not use that site again. The asphalt is narrow and it is hard to position the RV so the step is not a huge step all the way to the ground. Awkward!

Tips from campers about Village Creek State Park
- Tami_66 Do NOT miss Johnny Morris' WOW (Wonders of wildlife) aquarium & museum, which is about 40 min away in Springfield (easy drive). Their instruction on connected buildings is poor - You need at least 3 hrs. Aquarium 1st priority, then conservation center, then free museum inside the Bass pro store. Dont lose your tickets, you'll need them 3x depending on what you visit.9 months ago Red Cedar RV Park

Nice small park. Lots of trails. There are poisonous snakes and plants in the park. We camped at Village Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Be careful if you are a big rig. Sites aren't very long so if you have a toad or 5th wheel you won't fit on the pad. Also beware that to get to the park there is an elevated railroad that you MUST cross with low ground clearance. So make sure you do your do diligence in checking your clearence. Tip for Other Campers:
The sites have narrow drives with some not being level, at all.
They do have a few areas divided for picnic table, fire ring and a sitting area.
Makes a pleasant living area; don't know about bugs in the warmer seasons.
