I was here to go to I 37 Speedway. About 10 miles away. The city of Pleasanton has a Walmart and a large HEB store.

Tip for Other Campers:
Pleasanton is about 7 miles from the resort. There, they have many good restaurants and fast food places. They have a Walmart, HEB grocery, Walgreens and CVS pharmacies. If you're up for a movie, they have a movie theater with 3 screens and a bowling alley.
Tips from campers about Freedom RV Resort
- V-M J.C. Penney mother store employees were so informative and friendly - they gave us the history of Mr. Penney and a handout of the history of JCP and the store. The store sells a little of everything, and has a lot of original JCP memorabilia lining the walls; the store is still laid out in its original design - a little slice of Americana and very fun to see for anyone who grew up shopping at J.C. Good stop for an overnight. I wouldn't consider it as a "resort". Mostly a monthly place for local workers. We camped at Freedom RV Resort in a Motorhome.
