“Well maintained and close to the ocean”

Tip for Other Campers:
Loved everything about Port Aransas! Beach is a couple blocks away and an easy walk. Golf carts everywhere! Drive or ride bikes on the beach for miles. Bier Haus has great burgers, Port A pizza was great, have to go to the swing bar (Port A Beer Hut) to check it out.

Tip for Other Campers:
This is the most dog-friendly town we've ever been to. Lots of restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating and most offer free pup cups.
Castaways had very good, crispy fried shrimp. Virginia's was right on the water at the marina and also had good food.
Tips from campers about Surfside RV & Resort
- Dana In Iowa Didnt really explore the town nearby. There is a golf course right next to the campground, if thats something you like to do.2 years ago McGowen Recreation and Wildlife Area
- StroodleDoodle Southfork motel/restaurant on the south edge of town on Highway 63 has very good food. Easily the best place in Bloomfield to eat. The Country Club (next to McGowen campground) is a good eating spot as well.9 years ago McGowen Recreation and Wildlife Area

Tip for Other Campers:
Beware of GPS directions. They take you to S Station, which is the back entrance to campground and it is blocked off. Enter campground on S11th St. Be sure to bring your bike.

Tight spots. The staff and those residing/camping are super friendly and helpful with any issues. A very cheerful atmosphere. We camped at Surfside RV & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of fun bars and great restaurants. Just blocks from the beach. Uss Lexington in Corpus Christi Bay is a great tour. Padre Island National Seashore, too.
