“Great spacing between sites”
Nightly Rate: $22 USD
Great trails, wildlife, views of the canyon. The bison and deer came thru camp. We camped at Caprock Canyons State Park, Honey Flat Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
Very remote, no wifi in the park, no Verizon service, small town is within 10 miles.
Tips from campers about Caprock Canyons State Park, Honey Flat Campground
- F100owner363 We get about a lot while we camp. In this area you will see the ever growing wind turbine farms. The Pumpkin Capital of USA is located in nearby Floydata. Closer yet, is Turkey, the home of Bob Wills. They have a really nice dry goods store (Lacy Dry Goods) we visit and spend money at every time. Also in Turkey is a really good restaurant called Galvan's. I am always looking for a good chili relleno (they have one - might try it next time without the cheese sauce). If you want to drive a lot more, head north to Palo Duro Canyon where even more hiking trails and activities can be found along with bigger crowds.
- T Addington Stop at the Coffee Mill Mercantile in Quitaque for a good cup of coffee or a sandwich. The grocery store in town has a good, but limited selection. Make sure you take the time to go down the road about 20 miles to Turkey and check out the Bob Wills museum and catch some live music at the Turkey Hotel.
- Valerie_441 The gas station in Quitaque had only 2 pumps, but was easy to get into and out of with our truck and RV. The Bison Cafe in town had the best food at the lowest price of anyplace we have eaten lately. They cook to order, so dont go if you are in a hurry. Wish we were staying longer so we could eat there again!

There are already lots of great reviews of this park. This is mainly a review of site 34, with water and 50 amp electric. Site is paved and long enough for our 30' travel trailer and truck. We needed...

Tip for Other Campers:
Scenery, wildlife and hiking/biking are the main activities. Lots of history. There is a small lake, but is very low due to the drought. As others have said, bring what you need, the small town nearby does not have much.
