Its simple. Harker Heights and Killeen offer everything youd need including Sams Club! Large variety of restaurants and entertainment. Everything is about 15-20 minutes away.

Site 22. Perfect for smaller trailer (ours is 23 ft). Some what uneven but easy to level out. Great view of lake and plenty of space between the nice neighbors. Nice loop walk for evening strolls....

Mainly stayed in campground but went to Killeen for a grocery run. Very convenient

- wolf59a I would strongly recommend that folks with bigger rigs walk from the office to their assigned site and figure out the best approach before pulling ahead. The small town of Oliver is about a five-minute drive south on Hwy 97, with most of what you need (groceries, fuel, etc.). There is a great walking/biking trail (the Kettle Valley Rail Trail) about a mile south of the campground where Hwy 97 crosses the Okanagan river (parking is just north of the river, off Hwy 97 on Tucelnuit Drive).3 years ago Gallagher Lake Resort

Tip for Other Campers:
See the visitor center in Salado for tips on historic sites. Visitor center in Belton also pleasant and helpful. Mi Pueblo in Belton highly recommended if you like Mexican style food.
“Quiet Lake View Deer & Ducks”
Nightly Rate: $15 USD
It was quiet here. Our 40 DP MH fit in the site. It slopes to the back of the site. Would choose #5 or #6 next time. We camped at Union Grove in a Motorhome.

About 7 miles from Salado and 8 miles from Harker Heights which had plenty of restaurants and grocery stores.
