Tip for Other Campers:
The park is in a largely residential area. Growth in this area is clear as there were construction sites and contractor vehicles readily seen along the route in. It is a drive along a narrow, winding two lane road to get to any kind of amenities. This was find, but some place to ride a bicycle would have been nice.

There are lots of full time residents here and most have stuff all over their campsites. No grass just green weeds, sand burrs and fire ants. Not that it matters to me but they have a no old campers...

Spicewood Vineyards was wonderful. If you are looking to spend a lot of time in Fredericksburg, there are closer places to stay.
