Nice space. Beautiful lake view. We camped at Lofers Bend East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

- Captain Mark If you love wildlife, take a 3 mile drive across the damn, turn left on FM56 and 1/2 mile down the road, look at the pond and see "Eric the elk". That's what the wife named him. He likes to stand in the pond during the heat of the day to stay cool. Normally there when Temps get above 90. We've stayed here numerous times and always love our visits. My problem with the park are people who don't follow the rules and keep their dogs on a leash. Our neighbors dogs ran right up in OUR site...

Tip for Other Campers:
These sites would be our last choice due to tree placement which would make them really tricky to back in - sites 31, 39, 47 and 52.
The campground map on the Recreation.gov site is not quite accurate as to where the roads are inside the campground.
