“Dark skies; beautiful scenery; quiet; friendly owners; 1.5 miles to National Park Visitor Center.”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
There is zero cell service at the Park or at the Outpost. For us, that was fantastic - we could completely disconnect from our day to day lives and simply enjoy everything without disruption. Zero...

Get gas at Monticello or Moab - there is nothing after that except at the Outpost.
If you have 4WD, explore Salt Creek (Peekaboo Panel) and Horse Canyon (be sure to air down!!)
“Primitive Camping next to a National Park”
Nightly Rate: $42 USD
First Impression: Nothing to write home about primitive camping in the desert Southwest. Safety: Rattlesnakes, scorpions, but no concerns (none seen). Access: From north or south US-191, turn west on...

Tip for Other Campers:
This CG is privately owned and is just outside the boundaries of the Canyonlands National Park. The NP has its own CGs (one with a similar name so be careful). Its primitive RVing. All vehicles make sure youre tanked up either in Moab (if driving south) or Monticello (if driving north). From the intersection of US-191 and UT-211, you have a 34 mile drive to...

Fill your RVs fresh water tank before driving out here. Theres no water, and no hookups. Seriously, fill that fresh tank.Showers have an on/off switch in addition to a token box. Use that switch to turn off water while lathering up like a Navy Shower to maximize the utility of your five minutes of water. The timer doesnt count down while the switch is of!...
