“The best place for Capital Reef”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Great stay here! Such a nice place. Make sure to get pies (fresh every day) from the Gifford House. Not the cheapest but worth it. They have homemade ice cream too. Staying directly in the National...

Visit Etta Place Cidery in Torrey! Do a tour there (cheap!) and buy some beer or cider. A highlight of our stay.
“Near a lot of activities. ”

A pretty national park campsite with an orchard along parts of loop B and C. No hookups except electric available at 2-3 sites (50A) for use with medical devices, CPAP machines included. We had one of...

Tip for Other Campers:
You can have fires in the campfire rings/pits but cant pick up wood in the park-so bring some or be prepared to drive to Torrey-about 11 miles away for some. The scenic drive was beautiful. Download the NPS Park app. There is an audio tour or description at each stop. Plan on no WiFi/cell service except at the Visitor Center-or by the bathroom in loop B.
Tips from campers about Fruita Campground
- JeffJenkins Do the Augusta Canal Boat tour. We rode our bikes on the tow path from the Savannah Rapids Park. For a laundromat, use Peanuts just a mile or so down from the park.4 years ago Heritage RV Park
- Jeffgitta Go to Tbonz in Augusta for great food and atmosphere.1 year ago Heritage RV Park
- northstarnomads There is a Shell station about 6 minutes away with diesel and a grocery store near it as well. Plenty of places to eat at in the area.4 years ago Heritage RV Park

“Very nicely situated ”

Go in March and enjoy lovely hiking and cycling without bugs before it gets really warm. There are all kinds of fun little historical places to visit with your kids, as there are still working orchards original to the areas first settlers, a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmiths shop (really just a storage place for old farm equipment now), a nature center...
