Tip for Other Campers:
Kodachrome Basin Petrified Forest state parks are great state parks! And of course everything that Grand Staircase-Escalante has to offer. Do not miss going down Hole in the Rock road and Devils Garden and the 3 slot canyons at Dry Fork. And of course, town has most everything you'll need. Griffin Grocery is bigger than most small town grocery stores!

There's a fairly well-stocked grocery store in town. Prices are not bad for a small town. Close are the Hogs Back, Upper and Lower Calf Creek Falls hikes, a great reservoir for fishing and hiking, Perterfied wood state park and more.

We only spent 1 day in Escalante and should have planned for more days 3/5. Lots to see in the area.
