Tip for Other Campers:
La Sal loop over the mountains. Beautiful. If the road is closed due to construction, go to the opposite end of the loop which is accessible on the other side of Moab. Gorgeous drive1

Small dirt road you have to go down but it is a well improved road.
Tips from campers about Ken's Lake
- Bob Hahn The town of Haines is quite cute and reminds me of the New England area. Skagway is a complete waste of time. Nothing but thousands of tourists getting off the boat and shops you would see at every port in the Caribbean. Juneau is also very touristy with tons of diamond shops. There is an older section however that is worth seeing. The fairy boat or the ship to each of these port was more entertaining than the port themselves.8 months ago Haines Hitch-Up RV Park

Nice, clean campground with lots of space, good to use as a base to visit Capital Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks. Not much shade, and it can get hot during the day. Not many people there...

“BLM Boondocking at its best”

Beautiful campground and area if you like the desert. No services.other than vault toilets and they were not in the best shape. The lake is very nice and used by many people. Scenery is gorgeous IMHO....

Tip for Other Campers:
Moab diner is a must. Great food, service and ice cream. Grocery prices can be high in Moab. Village Market had good fresh produce.
