Tip for Other Campers:

Arrive in daylight and consider scouting ahead in your toad. There is an honor box at the ranger station as you enter the park, grab a tag to fill out with your chosen campsite information. Almost any vehicle can do the full sand flats drive, be responsible and turn back if theres any question of your equipment or its capability. Hit the Spanish Valley...

SugarFreeRV We rode our electric bikes every chance we had, around the campground, down to the nature preserve, to the beautiful waterfront facing Lake Wylie. The best pizza we've ever had was from Lake Wylie Pizza (803) 831-0855). We also ate at the Copper Premium Pub. We did not use the shower facilities but used the bath house to wash our hands after using the dump station. Bath house is very nice and super clean!

ritchier Lots of things to do in and around Charlotte. Copper Premium Pub is close even though it is in SC. Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is beautiful even this early in the spring.
