A number of businesses in Torrey are closed for the winter season so it is a good idea to do your grocery shopping before you arrive.

Obviously, Capitol Reef NP is likely why you're visiting this park. Not much else to do in the area, but there are a few small local businesses in the town just east of the park should you need anything.

Park is close to Capitol Reef. Restaurants and shops are a short drive to Torrey. Be sure to take a drive on the Byway 12 to Escalante. Beautiful! When you return back to Teasdale/Torrey check out La Cueva Mexican restaurant for dinner. Delicious!!

Close to Capitol Reef NP. Drive the Burr trail in Escalante (45 min south). Grocery store & restaurants in nearby Torrey. Fish Lake is worth a visit.

Tip for Other Campers:
You can get to 4 of the mighty five national parks from this location. Moab, Bryce, Canyonlands are all a drive but you really can't beat the drives. Make sure you take a drive down Highway 12 to Escalante and back. Come prepared....there is not much for services, groceries, etc in the vicinity. Cell service is excellent with both T-mobile and Verizon....
