Tip for Other Campers:
There are better options in the area. Northwest River park for example. I learned not to trust the Good Sam ratings. This campground does not deserve the 9-10-9 rating. Maybe a 4 or 5 at the most.

Horse flies can be a bit much in the evenings. And slight flooding on our site when it rained, took a couple days to dry out. Thank God for carpets We camped at Chesapeake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Turn left out of the campsite instead of dealing with the construction. No left turn at the end of the road

“Mostly Full Timers”
Nightly Rate: $38 USD
Not much in Chesapeake to choose from, this CG or a city run park which isn't much better. LOTs of full timers. Grounds could be nice but needs much updating. Paved sites and roads need much attention...
