- Trailbuddy Closest town is Ashland about 4 miles north on Rt. 1. Neat town with Amtrack running down the middle of the main street, shops and restaurants. Walmart and Camping World and a huge RV dealership are nearby. Other shopping and dining choices are available about 4 miles south on Rt. 1. One of the few choices to stay at if visiting the Richmond area.
