“Not our favorite!”
Nightly Rate: $48 USD
This place is in the middle of nowhere (as others have commented). Many things are close "as the crow flies" but when you factor crossing the James River are FAR away. We went to Historic Jamestowne...

Tip for Other Campers:
I would recommend going to Alliance Rd from any direction. It is a bit narrow but not too exciting in our 33 foot A with a dollied toad. RV Life directed us to take Highgate. Highgate is narrow enough that even cars slow down when passing. I don't think two big rigs could handle it without someone pulling over. I would be uncomfortable in any case.
“Great park, little cell signal”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
Park was great but little to no cell signal at camp sites (Verizon/Tmobile). We only had signal near the main office. We camped at Chippokes Plantation State Park in a Travel Trailer.

“Visit Williamsburg while staying at a nice clean park on the other side”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
It will take you about an hour overall to get to the ferry and cross to Jonestown/Williamsburg but the park is so nice that it is worth the time to do that, particularly when most of it will not...

Good place to go when visiting Williamsburg
“Lovely park!”

Very well arranged park. Sites are very neat though some are especially level. We camped at Chippokes Plantation State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Tip for Other Campers:
Internet is nearly non-existent.

“Quiet, lovely park ”

This is our second visit to this park and we stayed in loop B which accommodates larger RVs. Our site was very spacious, private and near the bathhouse. We camped at Chippokes Plantation State Park...

Tip for Other Campers:
We enjoyed some of the local sites, Bacons Castle and Fort Smith both run by the Virginia Preservation Society. We also tried twice to eat at the Surry Seafood House but the wait was too long (we had a dog), so we decided to take the ferry over to Jamestown and tried Billsburg Brewery instead. Highly recommend!
