Rockfish Gap is 20 minutes away and was the entrance to Skyline Drive, which was a lot of fun. We took it up north to Luray, which was good enough drive for us.Edelweiss was a fantastic German restaurant that was very close. There's a Mexican restaurant fairly close called Mi Rancho and its just OK. Fair Mexican food but what do you expect in Virginia...

I wish we had more time, and we would've tried to go over to the Civil War museum, which looked very interesting.5 months ago Shenandoah Valley Campground

This is an old KOA campground and reflects the size of RV's when it was built. The interior roads are very tight with tree limbs scraping the top and sides of our trailer, the sites are both narrow...

Tip for Other Campers:
One tip: the area is FULL of very tame rabbits. Lovely for the kids in the campground, as they are tame enough to feed, but *our* kid, a 30# Australian Labradoodle, went absolutely nuts wanting off the leash (a no-no). There is also a fishing hole for the kids - lots to do and all kept up.
