“Way overpriced”
Nightly Rate: $65 USD
This could be a fabulous park. It backs into the Kalama River and has a ton of open space with trees. However, the sites are packed in tight. The roads are only one way and just barely wider than an...

Checkout McMinnemans at the Kalama riverfront...
And the nice riverfront walk that has been developed there.
Tips from campers about Camp Kalama
- Jason Gray Knife River National Historic Site (1 mile north) is accessible by walking trail or driving. Excellent hiking trails through prairie and forest areas, and to the Missouri River. Interesting "earthlodge" home reconstruction typical of the Hidatsa tribe that would have been used by Sakakawea before she joined up with the Lewis and Clark expedition. L&C Interp Center also available in Washburn about 20 minutes east that has even more about the expedition.6 years ago Sakakawea City Park

Tip for Other Campers:
If you need groceries, go to WalMart in Longview or Woodland. The store in Kalama is small and pricey.
Nightly Rate: $33 USD
Primarily a place for people to fish and/or reside seasonally or permanently. This park is right along the banks of the Kalama River in a pretty setting, but it's also very close to I-5 and some train...

Tip for Other Campers:
Short drive into the small town of Kalama where there are a few restaurants, several antique stores, and a gas station.

A bit worn. Right off the highway but not a destination resort. Nice people but not a wonderful place. We camped at Camp Kalama in a Truck Camper.
