We did do some wonderful hikes. I recommend Glacier Basin and up on Sunrise, you should try Dege Peak. If park is full or just too rowdy with city folk, there are two state campgrounds within 10 and 15 miles, Crystal Springs north on 410 and Dalles campground further up. No pets on trails in park but there are some nice trails around Crystal Mt. Not far...
