Tip for Other Campers:
Randle is closest town down the bumpy road. This park is one of the closest to the north side of Mt St Helens National Monument.
We talked to several campers who have been coming here for decades. It is VERY remote and the last little bit of the drive to the park has many low-hanging branches try to drive as close to the left...

Tip for Other Campers:
Cruisers Pizza in Packwood was awesome, Sourdough Bacon Cheeseburger. Layser Cave, an abandoned Native American encampment, is a short drive and hike away. Windy Ridge Drive, the closest view to Mt. St. Helens is in the area, seasonally open. Lots of FS roads for exploring and riding.
