Winthrop is a delightful historic town; visitor's center gave loads of recommendations for the area; stop at the smokejumper base camp; dive to Mazama and don't miss the General Store; drive up to Sun Mountain Lodge for an incredible view

Owners are super friendly. Escorted to site and advised on several items and instructions. Little road noise but should die down later We camped at Pine Near RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Short walk to cute little downtown Winthrop. Looks like lots of bike and hike opportunities close by. Will explore tomorrow

Winthrop, whose founder hired the same architect who gave nearby Leavenworth it's Bavarian hamlet theme to promote the town after RR's altered routes and gold mines dried up, to also develop Winthrop's authentic Old West theme. Explore the nearby Northern Cascades including Diablo Lake and Washington Pass!

From this RV Park: How would the access to N Cascades NP be in mid-Sept on 20? I see it is closed now (Jan) but we would like to be able to enter and cross the park in the fall. TIA for any info. (Are we coming too late?)...

All grass park with some rug restrictions. Most sites have full hook ups. Walking distance to downtown and museums. We camped at Pine Near RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Downtown will provide all the eats and shopping for a small town. Pet friendly, no kids stuff to play on. Host guides you to site and helps you get trailer in parking spot.
