- Diane and Bill There are trails to hike, picnic areas, The Alum Cave (more of a large and impressive ledge) trail is easy and beautiful as it follows the river for miles. The nearest towns are Buckhannon, Phillippi or Belington, none are large but all have the necessities.5 years ago Audra State Park
