Outdoor mecca. You name it & its available. This trip , we went to Dolly Sods & on to Spruce Knob. Numerous merchants closed early in the week in both Davis & Thomas. Mountain Trails, outdoor gear retailer, really nice shop.

Tip for Other Campers:
Stayed here for the Mountain View and it is 35 mins away from Via Ferrata that we were going to. Large, grassy pull-thru sites!great for the dogs. Plenty of deer to see pass by in the fields, a few times a day.

- Aimee St. Clair Couple good place to eat, fuel and propane available as well. If you like hiking in nature, rock hounding, hunting, this is a great park to make home base at. Nice big site and loads of trails. Restaurant and bar at the lodge. We camped at Canaan Valley Resort State Park in a Travel Trailer.
