Research Lassen National Park before you go. Volcanic sites similar Yellowstone, beautiful lakes and miles of hikes with stunning views. Lake Almanor 30 minutes away with great boating and big trout fishing, and a very nice golf course.

Florence beaches lack an area where you can park right at the beach and gain access. Most area south access was by utv or parking and hiking over a large dune. Went to Tamarack ski area and was not disappointed. New lodge condos/townhouses with plenty of watering holes and eateries. Search for "Seven Devils Taphouse". Nice drive on the west side of Lake Cascade.

Tip for Other Campers:
Not a lot to do in White Bird, we went to relax with Family. Our past stay allowed us to rent nice Polaris UTV at the park from Kilgore Adventures. Very convenient but now you need to go a few miles south to their main building. Consequently we did not rent this time.

Tip for Other Campers:
Very close to micro brewer, Riverport Brewing. Rooster restuarant is great for lunch/dinner and patio seating looking at the river. Nice walking park next to Rooster's and short walk from resort if you like.
