Although the entrance has a steep down incline, it looks worse than it is. There is a clearly visible guide sign for larger RVs at the exit.

“Great access to northern end of New River Gorge”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
We had a great stay here. Really easy access to the New River Gorge Bridge and hiking/climbing on the north end near Fayetteville. We camped in the area with only electric and water. The area without...

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of great hiking trails in teh National Park Area, let the rangers at the visitor center help find something right for you. We'll be back to rock climb and maybe white water raft in the future. Pizza at Pies and Pints is excellent!

“Partial and full service hook ups in ideal location to National Park”

Exceptionally clean and modern. RV sites have zero privacy and are right on top of each other in partial hook up RV section. Full hook up area has very large sites but still without any privacy....

Tip for Other Campers:
Eat at the Hawks Nest State Park Lodge restaurant. The view of the river. Train bridge, train tracks and large groups of hawks soaring across the valley make for a relaxing meal and the food is good with very generous portions. Nearly everything in area is closed in March with exception of visitors centers, bridge walk and of course hiking trails.
