Tips from campers about Emrick Lake Campground & Resort
- Jw4766 Wabasso is minutes away from Mount Edith Cavell Day Use Are. This is a stunningly beautiful area - however to access it you have to travel up a tight switchbacked road not suitable for trailers or large motorhomes. Miette Hot Springs are just over an hour north, Maligne Canyon is an hour away with much to see on the way, Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls are south of the campground. The Icefields Parkway is one of the most scenic drives in the world. There are a ton of lookouts and a stop at the Icefields Discovery Centre is a must do. Within these areas there is fantastic hiking, biking, shopping, paddling, sightseeing. During our trip we went to one area each day to explore and could have spent more time in most. We saw a lot of wildlife driving to and from these areas.5 years ago Wabasso Campground
- RVL691136 Excellent experience boarding our dogs at the Jasper Pet Outpost. Lovely boat trip on Maligne Lake. Great laundromat in downtown Jasper: Coin Clean Laundry, with a coffee bar. Highly recommend the Columbia Icefield Ice Odyssey - a semi-private experience out on the Athabasca Glacier.5 months ago Wabasso Campground
- Isabel_Fearon_957 The drive from Jasper to Miette is a great rest activity - the scenery is unique and the chance of spotting wildlife unmatchable elsewhere. Also, if you have the $ for the Skytram and are comfortable with heights, the trip to the top of Whistler should not be missed - but come prepared for a STEEP hike through changeable weather conditions. I recommend going on a cloudy but dry day if possible, when crowds are smaller but the view equally breath-taking. Oh, and make sure you have bear spray and know how to use it this is bear country!3 years ago Wabasso Campground
