Question: we are camping here in about 2 weeks, at Post Point. I know some bases have specific gates to go through, can anyone explain any restrictions, gate closings etc... (40ft Fifth wheel, GMC 3500) long and Tall. Is there a truck gate? do they close as we may get in late. Have all my ID's to get on base normally.
Answer:
We went through the main gate with our 40 ft. Motor home with no problem. I’m not sure if it closes, but you could definitely call to find out....

Answer:
Absolutely! My husband is a disabled vet and we stay at many FamCamps. There are 2 campgrounds on Elgin. We stayed at Postl Point, which is right on the ocean. The other campground is not....

Nice spacious lots with a view of the water. Very helpful camp hosts. We camped at Eglin AFB FamCamp in a Motorhome.
