We will be camping in Wilderness campground in early August 2025. We’re coming from Southern California, am I going to be eaten alive by mosquitos? We have them in CA, but not like in MN. We will be arriving from Battle Lake, MN camping close the lake w/is heavily covered by trees and the mosquitos are pretty thick unless there is a good breeze. Can you describe what the mosquito situation is like? If it’s a lot, can you recommend somewhere where it’s not so buggy near this area? TIA...

Is there a 24 hour guard at entrance? Is this completely gated? Along the riverbed, is it gated? Are there homeless along the riverbed in tents?...
