Expect a 45 minute drive to visit 17 mile drive and the Big Sur Highway. If the weather's nice, plan to stay around the park - it's perfect.

Tip for Other Campers:
It's at least 20 minutes from downtown Galveston, but we loved the drive along the coast every day. If you like fresh seafood, the Seven Seas Grocery had wonderful fresh and frozen selections. Katie's Seafood Market also had yummy fresh fish, and we had a great meal at Katies restaurant.
