Walking distance to a mini market and Mexican food that is very good.
Poulsbo and Silverdale is less than 30 minutes away.
Always check to see if the hood canal is open if you are going that way (Washington DOT)

Bring your boat or rent one. The towns of Longview and Kelso have some good dinning. You pass the Mt St Helens vistor center. (Closed, but gift shop is open). 40 mile drive to Mt Saint Helens. For a real treat stop at the Fire House Grill just east of Toutle. Good food, drink and the patio overlook the Toutle River.

April is a great time to visit. For a longer RV it is advised to take the southern route on I 90 and then north on 97. The park is only a few minutes from downtown.
