Must see the Painted Churches. The bbq in Lockhart is outstanding but an hours drive.

Only 5 spaces and first come first gets the slot. We camped at Childress City Fair Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
There is a small lake and walking trails around the lake. This is a city park and it closes at11pm. We arrived just after 3 pm and got 1 of last 2 slots. The last slot filled 5 minutes later. There six more rv's come through looking for a slot after the park filled.

Quiet Park mainly because it was mostly empty. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy on and off the interstate hwy. Visit City of Santa Fe. Lots to do and see. There are loads of small restaurants just outside the "tourist area", that are very good.

The park is not close to Greater Phoenix area but is an easy drive.
