Go to Tupelo MS or Florence AL for chain shopping and restaurant options. There are some nearby attractions (Elvis birthplace in Tupelo and Muscle Shoals on the way to Florence has a significant music history) but only a couple others within an hour and not much else. Tip for Other Campers:
Bennington has a Home Depot, Walmart and Chili's along with local shopping and dining. There is also a museum in town and covered bridges close by if that is of interest. Also, going up inside the Bennington Battle Monument is worth the trip to view the area if it is open and the weather is good.
As others have said, disregard the mobile home park on the way in. Entrance to this slightly rustic campground is gated and immediately after the gate is a down slope but our 40' had no problems....

Tip for Other Campers:
Hannaford grocery store about 10 minutes north. DO NOT TAKE EXIT 5 off of I-89 as your GPS will probably tell you...road grade is not good for RVs and trucks are told to avoid it. GO TO EXIT 6 and then east on HWY 63 to Hwy 14, south a few miles to campground on your right.
Very nice park. Some sites in wooded area and along river, some in more open area. Some road noise from on-ramp next to north end of property. Excellent staff, great amenities and easy access....
