We booked 2 nights while our camper underwent repairs. When repairs fell through we moved on to our next stop so only stayed 1 night. Didn't see or do anything in the area. There's a large truck stop in Joplin that we stopped at. They serve Indian food in their restaurant. Seemed to be popular.

We eat at the Vienna Diner while we're here. Sergio's in Carbondale is another favorite. We also like Giant City Lodge's fish fry. Dairy Queen & Burger King? Are close by. We woke to a flat here once. Local tire place in Vienna took care of us onsite. Diesel and propane nearby, 28 minutes to WalMart or Kroger. Sam's Club in Marion. Lots of bike trails and...

There's a nice Love's just down the street with a new RV park of their own.
The restrooms/ shower house were modern and well done but the interiors of the individual bathrooms are ready for an update.

Tip for Other Campers:
Dinner at The Big Texan is worth doing. A little cliche but fun and the food is good. We've always received great service too.
Love's Travel Stop is nearby, so is Super Wal Mart.
We had a flat tire due to a cracked wheel. Southern Tire Mart of Amarillo came out and had us on the road in under an hour.

Tip for Other Campers:
Downtown, historic Santa Fe was a nice way to spend the afternoon. High end gifts, art and apparel like Luchesse, etc. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis if you can. Palacio Restaurant was a good spot for a quick lunch near the Santa Fe Square.
